Organize Yourself

*This page will be updated frequently*

Take the day to organize your desk, drawers, and closets.  Need extra hands? Round up your tots and have them be helpers! Color code your closet so everything of the same color is together, or you could group them by type (pants, shirts, dresses, skirts, etc). While going through your desk, drawers, and closets be sure to make a donation pile for those items that you no longer need. I know we all deep down say "Some day I'll wear that," but the truth is, if you haven't touched it in a month, you need to donate it. Remember less is more.

How does Teaching Tots get organized?

1. Do you have books and magazines scattered about, go to your local Dollar Tree (where everything is just $1) and stock up on baskets and tubs, its the easiest way to go about being more organized. I love the Dollar Tree, we use the brightly colored tubs to organize our books, hardback books go the bookshelves and softback books go in the tubs. Also I organize Cali and Dallas' toys 2 times a day. (Yes I said twice.) You can also use the tubs in your bathroom, fridge, in your closets, etc. Remember to gather like items in each bin only.

2. If organizing daily is a bit overwhelming, set aside one whole day during the week that you can commit to organizing for the entire day.

3. It really takes self-discipline to stay on top of having a clean house and being organized, I have found that I am a lot happier when my house is clean and the dishes are put away.

So ladies and gentlemen, sign out of facebook, turn up the radio and organize yourself!!

Teaching Tots all nice and tidy!
